About Takras

Takras is a music project written by two songwriters working under one name. The songs sit at the intersection of love at distance, faith without tradition, and the kind of feeling most of us push down until a song gives us permission to feel it.

Two songwriters, one voice

Tak and Ras are the two songwriters behind Takras. The name keeps the focus on the work rather than on personalities. Songs are credited fifty-fifty unless noted on the song page. The vocal performance is held to a single sound across the catalog so that every song belongs to the same room.

What the music is about

The Chapters stream is a long-form arc about long-distance love: the invitation, the waiting, the doubt, the return, the protective vow. The Reflections stream collects standalone songs that sit outside that arc: spiritual reach, gratitude, the people we carry, the things we lose. Both streams share the same posture: meet the feeling, do not flinch, find a way through.

What the music is not

It does not belong to a tradition. It is allowed to use declarative language when a song calls for it, but the project itself does not represent a faith. It is not advice, it is not therapy, and it is not a brand voice for a cause. It is songs.
